Shopping the outer section of the supermarket
Food Shopping the outer section of the supermarket
Shopping is one of those thing that you either love or hate doing. The task becomes more difficult if you go in to your store and walk around looking for the things you need but also choosing things that you see that are tempting but you don't really need. Once your focused on your diet, it becomes easy. You shop for fresh food, mostly lean meats, vegetables and real food.
One thing you may or may not have noticed is that the supermarkets cleverly organise their aisles so you always enter into their processed food sections. Every supermarket around here has the fresh vegetables, meats and dairy products (real foods) in the outer section of the supermarket - the problem being you have to enter into the processed food aisles to get to the other real food aisle.
Here is a challenge - the next time you to go the supermarket try ONLY shopping the outer section - I can almost guarantee you will come back with real non processed foods
Quick food shopping tips
Always keep to the outside aisles of the supermarket.
This is where you will find the fresh vegetables, meat, dairy and frozen foods. The inside aisles are where all the “forbidden processed foods” are with their wonderfully bright packaging and inviting captions. Don't get suckered into this section because you will only waste your money, hinder your gains and set yourself back a few steps.
Avoid reading eye catching slogans
Marketing is first class these days and even the best of us can be persuaded to buy certain items because we're taken in by the clever wording.
Never go shopping when you are hungry
Shopping when hungry can be fatal and you will not deal with temptation very well if you are starving, unless of course you are starving and focused on eating mass protein, good fats and vegetables!
Have a shopping list
Again, focus is key and if you have a list it makes it so easy to stick to buying only what you need.p
